So I Bought a Welder…..now what? Introduction to Welding

Adults. This introductory course will offer a beginner (novice), a hands on environment while providing applied knowledge and skills to make better use of their welding and fabricating equipment. Areas to be covered include: Welding Safety; Machine Setup/Troubleshooting;

Basic welding and cutting techniques with the following processes: SMAW Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick Welding), GMAW Gas Metal Arc Welding (Wire Feed Welding), PAC Plasma Arc Cutting (Plasma Cutting), and OAC (Oxy Acetylene Torch Cutting). Each night will begin with a safety and skill review followed by 3 hours of individualized welding training and shop time. During shop time, you’ll be able to use the shop equipment to build a basic project. Bring a pair of Safety Glasses, all other PPE will be provided. Min. 4, max. 7.
