Prairie Fire Children's Theatre

Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s most enchanting classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” was adapted by Prairie Fire managing director Ben Ratkowski and designed by executive director Deborah Nelson Pick, with original music by Daniel Stock. A joyful romp of mistaken identity and pranks – all played out during a midsummer’s eve, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” continues Prairie Fire’s tradition of performing classics as you’ve never seen them before.

Cast roles include: Buck, Luck, Yuck-Yuck, the rest of the Groundlings; Titania, Oberon, Peaseblossom, Cobweb, Moth, Mustardseed, the rest of the Sprites; Quince, Flute, Starveling, Snout, Snug, the rest of the Performers; the Duke, Hermia, Lysander, Demetrius, Helena, the rest of the Noble Persons

Recommended for children who have completed third grade to adults. (Children who have completed grades 1 & 2 are welcome, but parents should consider their child’s success with lengthy, closed rehearsals with large group supervision.) Min. 25, max. 70.
