Wood Working For Women;

What can I build?

Adults. This introductory course will offer a beginner (novice), hands on environment while providing applied knowledge and skills to make better use of their woodworking equipment. Areas to be covered include: Safety in the Wood Shop; Machine Setup/Troubleshooting; and Basic Machine Techniques with the following equipment: Table Saw, Chop Saw, Band Saw, Joiner, Planer, Sanding Equipment, Fastening Equipment, Basic Finishing tools and techniques. Each night will begin with a brief safety and skill review followed by 3 hours of individualized training and shop time. During shop time, you’ll be able to use the shop equipment to build a planter box, table organizer, cutting board, or floating shelf. Bring a pair of Safety Glasses, all other PPE will be provided. Min. 4, max 10.
