Student, Soldier,Refugee: Discussion and Book Signing with Dr. Ha Tuong The Paris Peace Accords signed in 1973 between the United States,the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) and the National Liberation Front (Viet Cong) was presented to the world as bringing peace with honor…it was actually a trap that would kill a million more Southeast Asians. It led to a mass exodus of people looking for freedom and saving their life. Those that remained in Vietnam became the voiceless minnows to be fed to the big fish. The focus of this presentation is on the book, Two Minnows.Tuong’s books, Two Minnows, a memoir of an ARVN soldier, and The War, analysis of the war through a sociopolitical cultural psychological lens, will b eintroduced and sold at a book signing after the presentation.
